Santa Claus is coming to town and rumor has it he wants to try something new. So we whipped together this recipe for sugar cookies, with a strawberry topped twist! These sugar cookies are topped with cream cheese icing and topped with Crunchies Freeze Dried Strawberries. We promise, you’ll want to save some of these cookies for yourself.

1 Dozen Cookies

TOTAL TIME: 20 min


  • 2 ¾ cup of flour
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • ½ tsp of baking powder
  • 1 cup of butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract


  • Pillsbury Cream Cheese Frosting
  • Crunchies Freeze Dried Strawberries


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
  4. Once cool, frost with icing and sprinkle strawberries on top.
